Baltimore’s new hackerspace first meeting in new space

Baltimore’s new hackerspace, Baltimore Node is having its first meeting in its new space at the Load of Fun building Tuesday Aug. 4 at 7:30pm.

The Node started just a few months ago with 2 people and now has a growing membership and new space for activities at the Load of Fun building on North Ave. If you are curious about what the space is about or what members are interested in, come to the meeting.

Since we just signed the lease the space itself will be rather empty. There will be plenty of DIYers/hackers there to meet however and we will be making our first steps towards organizing what will go in the space. So bring a pillow/stool or be prepared to sit on the floor. Ideas for creative cheap/free shop furniture are encouraged.

Load of Fun is located at 120 W North Ave. The Baltimore Node space is on the left side of the building, in the space formerly occupied by On The Road Theatre(There sign is still on the window).

Baltimore Node, a new hackerspace, now has a home. We just decided to sign a lease on a space at the Load of Fun building (120 W North Ave.) Here is a picture of a giddy group of hackers.

Also we are planning another workshop on Saturday, July 26. The topic is still to be determined.
